SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Syracuse tries to continue its road success when it visits Notre Dame on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. The Orange are 3-0 in road ACC games, with wins coming against Virginia, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse extended its win streak to three after defeating Virginia Tech on the road, 71-69, on Saturday. Sophomore Buddy Boeheim led the way, tying his career high with 26 points. Boeheim scored 18 consecutive points in the first half and finished with five 3-pointers. Junior Marek Dolezaj posted his second consecutive double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds, and redshirt junior Elijah Hughes contributed 17 points.

The victory improved Syracuse's record to 11-7, including 4-3 in ACC play.

BOEHEIM HONORED
Boeheim is this week's ACC Co-Player of the Week for his performances against Boston College and Virginia Tech. He averaged 24.0 points to help the Orange to the pair of victories. Boeheim scored 22 points in Syracuse's 76-50 win against Boston College and then tied his career high with 26 points in a 71-69 victory at Virginia Tech.

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH
Notre Dame is coming off a 78-74 win against Georgia Tech. The victory improved its record to 11-6, including 2-4 in ACC play. The Fighting Irish are 9-2 at home this season, with losses to Boston College and Louisville.

Notre Dame is one of the best teams in the country at protecting the ball. The Irish 's 9.8 turnovers per game are second-best in the country, and they lead the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.80). Notre Dame has 300 assists on the season and only 167 turnovers. It also has committed the least amount of fouls per game with 12.1 in the nation.

Senior John Mooney is averaging a double-double this season, scoring 15.4 points and pulling down 13.9 rebounds per game. His 13.9 rebounds leads the ACC. No other player averages more than 10 rebounds per game. Along with Mooney, senior T.J. Gibbs (13.4 ppg.), and sophomores Dane Goodwin (11.7 ppg.) and Hubb Prentiss (12.9 ppg) all average double digits in scoring.

Syracuse leads the all-time series with Notre Dame, 29-22, but the Fighting Irish beat the Orange, 88-87, earlier this season in the Dome. Syracuse was up by three points with 1:33 remaining before the Irish went on a 7-0 run to end the game. Boeheim and Joseph Girard III had 23 and 20 points respectively, in the loss.
