SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse looks to get back in the win column when it hosts Virginia Tech on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Tip off in the Carrier Dome is set for 9 p.m.

The game will be televised on the ACC Network. The match will also be streamed on ACC Network Extra, but fans can only watch the stream if their cable provider carries the ACC Network. Fans unsure if their provider carries ACCN are strongly encouraged to visit GetACCN.com.

ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange (8-6, 1-2) had their three-game winning streak snapped in an 88-87 thriller against Notre Dame on Saturday in the Dome. Both teams converted on 15 3-point attempts, but a pair of free throws by Prentiss Hubb with 18 seconds remaining secured the win for the Fighting Irish.

Sophomore Buddy Boeheim led the Orange with 23 points, while junior Marek Dolezaj posted his first career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

BUDDY HITS CENTURY MARK
Sophomore Buddy Boeheim tied his career high with seven 3-point field goals against Notre Dame. He now has 100 career 3-point field goals in just 46 games. He ranks seventh in the nation in total 3-point field goals made (53), fifth in 3-point field goals per game (3.79) and ninth in 3-point field goal attempts (129).

SCOUTING THE HOKIES
Virginia Tech is also coming off a conference loss – a 65-39 defeat at No. 19/19 Virginia on Saturday. The Hokies enter Tuesday's game with an overall record of 10-4, including a 1-2 mark in ACC action.

Redshirt freshman Landers Nolley II is Virginia Tech's leading scorer and rebounder this season. The Atlanta native is averaging 17.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. In addition, Wabissa Bede leads the team and ranks third in the ACC in assists per game (6.07).

Mike Young is in his first season as head coach at Virginia Tech. He spent the previous 17 seasons at the helm at Wofford. Young was named to the 2019 Sporting News Coach of the Year.

THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Virginia Tech, 9-4. The Orange won five straight against the Hokies beginning in 2011, when both were members of the BIG EAST, and from 2014-16 after Syracuse joined the ACC. Virginia Tech has won two of the last three meetings between the two teams.

Last season, Syracuse traveled to Blacksburg on Jan. 26. The Hokies used 14 3-pointers to defeat the Orange, 78-56. Oshae Brissett scored 16 points to lead Syracuse.
