Syracuse Athletics 'Tough4T' Shirts On Sale Now

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – All Syracuse University basketball fans now have the opportunity to wear the Orange men's and women's Tough4T warm-up shirts made in support of point guard Tiana Mangakahia, who was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer in June. The shirts are available online via Fanatics (www.shop.cuse.com), at the Syracuse University Bookstore, Manny's and Shirt World. The warm-up shirts were put on the market in support of Mangakahia and in response to fan inquiries to purchase the shirts. The athletics department worked with Nike, the official apparel partner, to make the shirts available. Pursuant to NCAA guidelines proceeds will support Tiana and her family during this time of need. The University has waived standard royalty from the sale of the shirts.

Mangakahia, an honorable mention Associated Press All-American in 2019, announced on July 1 that she would miss the 2019-20 season. She completed her eighth and final round of chemotherapy on Oct. 11, and had a successful surgery on Nov. 6, to remove the remaining mass. Mangakahia is enrolled in Syracuse University's sport and venue management graduate program in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics. She earned her bachelor's degree in communications and rhetorical studies in the College of Visual and Performing Arts in May 2019.
