SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse hosts in-state foe Buffalo on Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Carrier Dome. The game, which is the second of three straight home contests for the Orange, tips off at 6 p.m.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (5-1, 1-0) returned to the win column with a come-from-behind 62-56 victory against Northeastern on Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore Quincy Guerrier posted a double-double with 18 points and a career-high 16 rebounds, while fellow sophomore Joseph Girard III tallied 21 points to lead the 'Cuse to victory.

The Orange trailed by five with 13:34 remaining but rallied and took the lead for good with 4:01 to play. Syracuse outscored the Huskies, 7-2 over the next 2:51 to put the game out of reach.

GIRARD III HEATING UP
Joseph Girard III equaled his season-high point total against Northeastern with 21 points. He also scored 21 points in Syracuse's win against Rider. Girard III is averaging 15.5 points per game in his last four games. During that stretch, he is 18-for-45 (.400) from the field and 14-for-34 (.412) from 3-point range. In addition, Girard III is now tied for the team lead in assists (25) is second in steals (12) thanks in part to a career-high six against Northeastern.

SCOUTING THE BULLS
Buffalo enters Saturday's game on a two-game winning streak, which has improved its record to 3-2. The Bulls defeated MAC rival Miami (OH), 90-62, on Tuesday to even their conference mark at 1-1.

Jeenathan Williams is Buffalo's leading scorer and rebounder through the first five contests. The Rochester, N.Y. native is averaging 20.0 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. . Jayvon Graves (16.4) and Ronaldo Segu (13.6) also are averaging double figures in scoring.
