Cooney Named PFF All-American

Senior punter Nolan Cooney earned a spot on the Pro Football Focus All-America team as an honorable mention selection.
Pro Football Focus uses their advanced stats and player grades to determine their All-America teams. Winner of the Brian Piccolo Award for the ACC's most courageous player after returning from a battle with cancer in high school, Cooney also earned Third Team All-ACC honors.
Cooney was third in the ACC in net punting (44.8). He booted 74 punts on the season, 25 were 50+ yards, 24 were downed inside the 20 and just three were touchbacks.
Teammate Garrett Williams earned Freshman All-America honors from The Athletic earlier this week as well.
