SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse has a quick turnaround after Thursday night's victory as it returns to the Carrier Dome to host Rider on Saturday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. It marks the end of the Orange's three-game homestand to start the season.

The game will be televised on ACC Regional Sports Network, including the YES Network. Click here for a complete list of affiliates carrying the game. In addition, fans can watch all the action on foxsportsgo.com (in-market) and espn.com/watch (out of market). The live broadcast will also be available on the Syracuse Sports Network from Learfield IMG College, including TK99/105 locally.

ORANGE UPDATE
Sophomore Quincy Guerrier recorded his second consecutive double-double to lead Syracuse to a 75-45 victory against Niagara on Thursday night. He scored a career-high 23 points to go along with 13 rebounds. Freshman Kadary Richmond made his first career start and posted 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals. Junior Alan Griffin added 10 points, while senior Marek Dolezaj pulled down 10 rebounds.

DOUBLE VISION
Guerrier is averaging 19.0 points and 13.0 rebounds in his first two contests of the young season. He recorded back-to-back double-doubles for the first time in his career and became the first member of the Orange to achieve the feat since Bourama Sidibe reached double-digits in points and rebounds against Pittsburgh and North Carolina. The Montreal, Quebec native has converted 72.7 percent (16-of-22) of his field goal attempts.

SCOUTING THE BRONCS
Saturday's game will be the season opener for Rider, which finished last season an 18-12 mark. The Broncs lost more than 87.6 percent of their scoring from 2019-20, which ranks second in the nation behind Kentucky (94 percent).

Head coach Kevin Baggett is in his ninth year at the helm of the Rider program. He earned the MAAC Coach of the Year award in 2015 and 2018.

THE SERIES
Saturday marks the 70th anniversary of the only other meeting between Syracuse and Rider. The Orange defeated the Broncs, 72-54, in Syracuse on Dec. 5, 1950.

The Orange go on the road for the first time this season Tuesday, Dec. 8 when they take on Rutgers as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Tipoff is set for 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2.
