
Ryan Bartow Named Director of High School Relations

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – A fixture in the world of college football recruiting, Ryan Bartow been hired as Syracuse's director of high school relations, Orange head football coach Dino Babers announced on Monday. Bartow held the same position at Oregon in 2018 and most recently worked as a scout for the coaching technology company XOS Digital.

"Ryan has worked in recruiting and player evaluation for more than a decade," Babers said. "He's an excellent addition to our staff." Â

At XOS Digital, Bartow was the company's West Coast scout. He evaluated prospects for XOS's recruit database and generated reports for college program subscribers. He also maintained client relationships and conducted sales meetings with prospective clients.

Bartow spent the 2018 season as the director of high school relations at Oregon. He was with the Ducks for two recruiting cycles and helped Oregon land the Pac-12's No. 1 class in 2019 and 2020. Bartow's responsibilities included evaluating prospects, updating Oregon's recruiting boards, coordinating travel for in-home visits and serving as a guide for campus tours.

Prior to his time in Eugene, Bartow covered the recruiting scene for 12 years. He served as the lead college football recruiting reporter for 247Sports.com from 2013 to 2017. Before that, he was the associate editor and recruiting analyst for Clemson's Rivals site (TigersIllustrated.com) from 2006-13. Bartow started out covering the North Carolina basketball, football and recruiting beats for TarHeelIllustrated.com from 2005-06.

Bartow graduated with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2003. Â
