
Orange Open Season at ITA Kickoff Weekend

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse opens the 2021 campaign at the 13th annual ITA Kickoff Weekend in Columbus, Ohio. The Orange take on host Ohio State on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 9 a.m. The winner of that match faces the winner between Tennessee and Virginia on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. The consolation match is scheduled for 10 a.m.

The champion from the Ohio State region advances to the ITA Women's Team Indoor Championship at Oklahoma State on Feb. 5-7.

The Orange return six players from last year's squad that posted an 8-3 record in dual matches before the season was cut short due to COVID-19. Graduate student Miranda Ramirez enters her fifth season tied for 13th in career wins at Syracuse with 131. She was an All-ACC Third Team honoree as a junior when she finished the season with a team-best 18-8 singles record.

Head coach Younes Limam enters his seventh season at the helm of the Syracuse program. He has guided the Orange to three NCAA Tournament appearances and 70 wins and has coached five All-ACC selections and two All-Americans.
