'Cuse picked second; all-five ACC teams in the top-10.
The Syracuse men's lacrosse team was picked second in the US Lacrosse/Nike Preseason Top-20 Poll, which is the Orange's highest preseason ranking in the publication since 2014.
Syracuse finished the 2020 season 5-0 and ranked No. 1 in every poll when the remainder of the season was canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic last March. Every starter from the final-four games of the 2020 campaign and all-nine of the team's Inside Lacrosse All-Americans from a year ago returned to the 'Cuse roster for 2021.
Schedule information for the Orange's 2021 campaign will be announced at a later date, but the Orange's conference slate alone will be a gauntlet, as all-five ACC teams are ranked in the top-10, with four picked in the top-six.
Duke was selected as the preseason favorite ahead of the Orange, which was followed by Maryland, Penn State and Virginia to round out the top-five, with the other two ACC squads (North Carolina and Notre Dame) ranked at six and 10, respectively.
Syracuse Athletics provided an update on Season Tickets for the season, which can be found here: Season Ticket Update.
