ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (6-2, 1-1) looks to return to the win column after a 63-60 setback against Pittsburgh on Wednesday. The loss snapped the Orange's three-game winning streak.

Junior Alan Griffin took over as the 'Cuse's leading scorer with a team-high 15 points against the Panthers. He is now averaging 16.4 points per game, which rank ninth in the ACC. The Ossining, N.Y. native has scored 20 or more points in four contests this season.

Redshirt sophomore Robert Braswell had the most productive game of his career on Wednesday. He shot 4-for-5 from 3-point range for a career-high 12 points. Braswell also had a block and a steal against the Panthers.

Georgetown lost its fourth straight contest on Wednesday, a 63-55 setback at Butler. The Hoyas enter Saturday's game with a 3-7 overall record.

Three players average double figures in scoring for Georgetown, led by Jahvon Blair's 18.2 points per game. He has scored more than 10 points in every game and has reached 20 points five times. Qudus Wahab leads the Hoyas on the boards with 8.8 rebounds per game to go along with a team-high 26 blocks.

Patrick Ewing is in his fourth season at the helm of the Georgetown program. Prior to returning to his alma mater, Ewing spent 15 seasons as assistant coach in the NBA. The 2008 Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee was a three-time consensus first-team All-American and was named one of the top 50 players in the history of the NBA.

Syracuse leads the all-time series with Georgetown, 51-44. The teams met every year from 1979-80 through 2012-13 when both were members of The BIG EAST Conference. The squads have met each of the past five years after the series was renewed in 2015-16.

Last season, Georgetown defeated the Orange, 89-79, in Capital One Arena. Buddy Boeheim led Syracuse with 25 points, while Elijah Hughes added 21 points.
