Orange Frosh Continue Play at ITA Regional

PHILADELPHIA -- Syracuse freshmen Miyuka Kimoto and Shiori Ito advanced in the singles and doubles bracket at the ITA Northeast Regional on Saturday. The pair will be in action on the final day of the tournament on Sunday.
The pair defeated Temple's Ling-Hsuan Wei and Sena Takebe, 8-4, on Saturday. They will take on another pair from Temple on Sunday -Â Stefaniya Surikova and Yining Tian.
In singles action, Kimoto posted a straight-set victory over Alexndra Jansson of St. Bonaventure to advance to Sunday's match against Princeton's Neha Velaga. Ito also didn't drop a set in her win against Drexel's Isabel Cabrerizo. She will take on Penn's Gavriella Smith on Sunday.
