Fans are encouraged to wear pink and pink ribbons will be handed out for breast cancer awareness, the illness that took Gaitten's life too soon.Â
Syracuse rose four spots to No. 7 this week in the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll after going 2-0 with wins over No. 5 North Carolina, 5-0, and Columbia, 4-0. The Orange have won six straight games entering the weekend and have been guided by a steady defense that has not allowed an opponent goal since Sept. 17.Â
