5 Things to Know: Syracuse at Louisville

Syracuse comes off its bye week with the first-of-two straight games on the road when the team heads to Louisville on Saturday. Here's five things to know about the matchup:
1. Tucker's on Record Watch
Star running back Sean Tucker, who ranks second nationally in rushing, is within reach of a record that has stood for more than 40 years.
He is 105 yards behind Joe Morris' single-season rushing record of 1,372, which was set in 1979 – before the Carrier Dome was constructed.
Tucker is a Maxwell Award Semifinalist and second to Michigan State's Kenneth Walker for the FBS rushing title with three games to play.
2. Dynamic Duo
The Orange are third nationally in rushing offense. Tucker is second overall and QB Garrett Shrader is fourth among QBs with 670 yards – 143 yards shy of the most rushing yards in a single season by a quarterback (813 – Bill Hurley, 1979.
Only 21 teams in FBS football have more rushing yards as a team than the 'Cuse combo of Tucker/Shrader, and the next touchdown by either would make them the highest-scoring tandem in program history in a single season.
3. Â 3 in a row in the 'Ville
Much like Syracuse hosted its last opponent (Boston College) in three-straight seasons, the Orange head to Louisville for the third year in a row on Saturday.
The scheduling oddity occurred as part of the re-done 2020 schedule amid the league playing a one-division 10 conference game schedule.
4. Sack Attack
The Orange have brought pressure from all over this season. Four of the ACC's top-20 leaders in sacks are 'Cuse players, the most of any school in the top-20. Cody Roscoe (8.0), Stefon Thompson (6.0), Kingsley Jonathan (4.5) and Marlowe Wax (4.0) lead the way.
The Orange already have 33.0 sacks as a team this year, tied for the ninth-highest single-season total in program history. The 2018 team (43) owns the record. The team's current pace of 3.67 sacks per game is the highest per-game total in program history, putting them on pace to break the record.
5. One Dome Game Left
Fans have just one more opportunity to catch the 'Cuse football team in the Loud House this season.
