Syracuse Chapter of Uplifting Athletes Holds Touchdown Pledge Drive

The Syracuse Chapter of Uplifting Athletes will be holding a Touchdown Pledge Drive on November 27 vs. Pittsburgh to shine a spotlight on the rare disease community.

Uplifting Athletes chapters are run by college football student-athletes. The challenges faced by the Rare Disease Community today are bigger than any one individual, team or organization can tackle alone. To create the change needed we all must rally together.

We all have the opportunity to provide hope and NOW is the time to take action!

The leadership team of the Syracuse Chapter, led by President Aaron Bolinsky, and all the members of the 2021 Orange squad is asking fans to make a pledge for each touchdown Syracuse scores against Pitt. As the game unfolds, watch and cheer as each touchdown scored helps raise money to support the Rare Disease Community.

Proceeds from the Syracuse Chapter 2021 Touchdown Pledge Drive support Uplifting Athletes and its commitment to create Uplifting Leaders, engage in Uplifting Experiences, fund Rare Disease Research, and expand Rare Disease Awareness.
The Syracuse Chapter started tackling rare diseases in 2013 when it joined Uplifting Athletes. The chapter serves the Rare Disease Community in honor of Rob Long, a former Orange punter and team captain. Long was diagnosed with a rare malignant brain tumor and battled through his rare disease to make a full recovery against very long odds. Long continues to be a strong rare disease advocate as the Executive Director for Uplifting Athletes.
