CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The Orange lost their first round game in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, 1-0, in double overtime to North Carolina. The teams battled for 90 minutes of regulation and the first overtime period without a goal, sending the Orange into their fifth double overtime match of the season. The Tar Heels scored the lone goal of the match on a penalty kick in the 106th minute of the game to advance to the quarterfinals of the conference tournament. Syracuse ends the season 8-8-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the ACC.

The Orange outshot the Tar Heels 9-6.
This game marks Syracuse's seventh appearance in the ACC Tournament since joining the conference in 2013.
Sophomore forward Deandre Kerr led the team in leading scoring with nine goals on the season.
Head coach Ian McIntyre closes his 12th season at the helm of the program with an overall coaching record of 211-149-68 and a 104-85-36 record at Syracuse.
