ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (13-6, 7-5) climbed out of a 20-point second-half hole against the Fighting Irish to claim its third victory in a row. The deficit was the largest overcome in an Orange victory since coming back from 20 down to defeat Rutgers on January 24, 2005. Buddy Boeheim erupted for a career-high 29 points and buried six 3-pointers. Marek Dolezaj joined Boeheim in double figures with 18 points, while Quincy Guerrier led the Orange on the boards with 14 rebounds.
The Orange lineup features a trio of players with top-10 scoring averages in the ACC. Alan Griffin (15.21 ppg.) ranks eighth, Boeheim (15.19 ppg.) ranks ninth and Guerrier (15.16 ppg.) ranks 10th. Georgia Tech (Alvarado 16.7 ppg., Wright 16.3 ppg.) is the only other school in the conference with multiple players who cracked the top 10.
