Syracuse moved back into the top-five of this week's USILA poll following the Orange's 17-9 win over Stony Brook.
'Cuse has won three-straight games and scored 17-or-more in each victory. It's the first time since 2015 that SU has hung 15+ in three-straight contests.
Duke moved up to take over the No. 1 spot in this week's poll. The Blue Devils garnered 425 points and 10 first-place votes to edge previous No. 1 North Carolina down to No. 2 (422 points/8 first-place votes). Maryland (407/4 first-place votes) remained No. 3, followed by Georgetown (354) and Syracuse (336).
In addition to Duke and Carolina, Syracuse has or will play No. 6 Army, No. 8 Notre Dame (twice) and No. 9 Virginia (twice), as well as Albany and Stony Brook, which are both receiving votes.
The Orange also moved up one spot in this week's Inside Lacrosse media poll to No. 5.
North Carolina remained No. 1 in that poll (403/8 first-place votes), followed by Duke (398/6 first-place votes), Maryland (392/6 first-place votes), Georgetown (341) and Syracuse (330/1 first-place vote).
