SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange close the regular season on Wednesday when they clash with Clemson. Tip off from the Carrier Dome is scheduled for 5 p.m.
The game will be televised on ACC Network and ACC Network Extra. Matt Park and Jim Satalin will call all the action on the Syracuse Sports Network from Learfield IMG College, including TK99/105 locally.
ORANGE UPDATE
Buddy Boeheim tallied 26 points and six 3-point makes on Monday night, as Syracuse (14-8, 8-7) edged past North Carolina, 72-70. The 'Cuse came out on top despite the Tar Heels winning the rebounding battle, 53-33. The UNC rebounding total fell two boards shy of the Dome opponent record of 55 rebounds set by Rhode Island on November 30, 2003.
The Orange received significant contributions from their reserves on Monday, as Jesse Edwards grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and snagged a career-best four steals, while Kadary Richmond dished out a personal-best 10 assists.
With a 3-point make in the first half, Boeheim became the 64th player in program history to reach 1,000 career points at Syracuse. He also moved past Marius Janulis (190 3-pointers) for sole possession of eighth place in program history for 3-point field goals.
KADARY IS COOKING
Freshman guard Kadary Richmond dished out 10 assists against North Carolina on Monday, making him the first Syracuse freshman to record 10+ assists in a regulation contest since Jonny Flynn dished out 10 helpers against Rhode Island on December 8, 2007. The Brooklyn, N.Y. native's performance helped him claim the team lead in assist average (3.4), good for third-best among ACC freshmen behind Florida State's Scottie Barnes (4.3) and North Carolina's Caleb Love (3.6).
Richmond also continued his impressive performance on defense by snagging four steals, improving his team-leading steals per game average to 2.00. He ranks third in the nation among all freshmen in thefts per contest behind Posh Alexander of St. John's (2.58) and VCU's Adrian Baldwin Jr. (2.17) and ranks third in the conference among all players behind Georgia Tech's Jose Alvarado (2.81) and Duke's Jordan Goldwire (2.45).
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Clemson won its fifth contest in a row on Saturday, moving past Miami by a score of 66-58. The victory improved the Tigers to 15-5 overall and 9-5 against ACC foes.
Senior forward Aamir Sims leads Clemson in a number of categories, including points (13.6), rebounds (6.2), assists (2.5), and blocks (0.7) per game. The Tigers' next-leading scorer is junior guard Nick Honor, who averages 9.1 points per contest.
Brad Brownell is in his 11th season at the helm of the Tigers' program. He secured his program-record 200th win on Saturday against Miami.

THE SERIES
Clemson owns a 7-4 advantage in the all-time series against Syracuse. On February 6, Aamir Simms tallied an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double to lead the Tigers to victory against the Orange in South Carolina, 78-61.

Syracuse awaits its seeding for the 2021 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament in Greensboro, N.C. The tournament tips off on March 9 and the championship game is slated for March 13.
