Mitch Wykoff and Jakob Phaup were honored by the USILA for their performances in a 20-10 victory over Virginia.
The duo was selected to the USILA Team of the Week, which honors 10 top players each week.
Phaup went 22-of-33 at the faceoff X with eight ground balls against the Cavaliers. Coming into the contest, UVA faceoff man Petey LaSalla ranked second nationally in faceoff win percentage. On the season, Phaup is winning over 63-percent of restarts. He ranked fifth nationally in faceoff win percentage in the shortened 2020 season.
Wykoff made his Syracuse debut in strong fashion. The Gettysburg transfer was sidelined from the season opener due to injury, but returned to the lineup at close defense against the 'Hoos. He primarily guarded UVA attackman Matt Moore, who was limited to no goals and one assist and had the nation's sixth-longest consecutive games with a goal streak snapped on Saturday.
