'Cuse to Host Wake and Duke

Senior Ella Saada will be recognized for her contributions to the Orange volleyball program prior to Syracuse's match against Duke on Sunday, March 28th (1 pm, ACCNX). The final home weekend of the regular season also includes a match against Wake Forest on Friday, March 26th (4 pm, ACCNX). A 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference All-Freshman Team selection, Saada has played in every match (101) in her Syracuse career. She leads the Orange (5-7 overall, 5-7 ACC) in kills this season with 98.
Saada's 'Cuse Career
The Kfar Masaryk, Israel native will earn degrees in forensic science and psychology in May. In four seasons, she has 855 kills, 772 digs, 123 blocks, and 77 service aces. She has played every match in her Orange career.
Worth Noting
The Series vs. Wake Forest
Syracuse owns an 8-1 advantage in the series against Wake Forest (0-12, 0-11), but the Demon Deacons won the most recent meeting in 2019. The Orange and WFU have only played as ACC opponents with the first match in the series happening in 2013.
The Series vs. Duke
The Orange have won four of the last six matches in the series against the Blue Devils (8-9, 6-6), including three straight wins in 2017 and 2018. Last season Duke outlasted Syracuse, 3-2, in a match that took 2 hours and 55 minutes to decide. The Blue Devils lead the series, 6-4.
Next Weekend
Syracuse will close out the regular season with a pair of matches at Florida State. The Orange will play FSU on Thursday April 1 and NC State on Friday April 2.

Worth Noting
- Sophomore outside hitter Viktoriia Lokhmanchuk has averaged 12.5 kills and 7.3 digs per match in the last four matches.
- Syracuse ranks third in the ACC in digs per set (15.3). Lauren Hogan owns the best digs per set mark (4.89) in the conference, which ranks 54th in the nation and ninth among all freshmen.
- Freshman Lauren Hogan has a .985 reception percentage. The defensive specialist has successfully received 260 balls and has committed only four errors.
- Syracuse is 51st nationally and fifth in the ACC in blocks per set, averaging 2.4. Sophomore middle blocker Abby Casiano leads the Orange and ranks sixth in the ACC with an average of 1.13 blocks per set.
