Edwards, Girard, Guerrier Earn ACC All-Academic Honors

Sophomores Jesse Edwards, Joseph Girard III and Quincy Guerrier were named to the 2021 Men's Basketball All-ACC Academic Team. A total of 39 student-athletes from ACC programs were selected.

Criteria to be eligible for the recognition includes:

A cumulative grade-point-average of 3.0-or-better.
A grade-point-average of 3.0-or-better in the most recent semester or quarter.
Consideration of athletic accomplishments during the current season

Edwards, a 6-10 center from Amsterdam, Netherlands, is majoring in biology at Syracuse. He has seen action in 13-of-23 contests so far this season.

Girard is a 6-1 guard from Glens Falls, N.Y. He is majoring in broadcast and digital journalism. Girard has started all 23 games for the Orange and is averaging 9.6 points per game.

Guerrier is a native of Montreal, Quebec. The 6-7 forward has not declared a major. Guerrier, who was named Third-Team All-ACC following the regular season, has been with Syracuse's starting five for all 23 games. He is averaging 14.5 points and a squad-best 9.0 rebounds per game.

Syracuse is seeded eighth in the 2021 ACC Tournament. The Orange are scheduled to play ninth-seeded NC State on Wednesday, March 10, at noon in the second round. The game will be televised by the ACC Network.
