Rehfuss Named Tewaaraton Award Nominee

Star midfielder Stephen Rehfuss was named one-of-25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award after the watch list was cut down this week.
The most prestigious award in lacrosse, Rehfuss was added to the watch list earlier this season after leading the team in points. He is the team's leader in assists for the fourth-straight season.
First awarded in 2001, Syracuse has won three Tewaaraton Awards – Mike Powell (2002, 2004) and Mike Leveille (2008).
Rehfuss enters Saturday's game with 101 career assists – which ranks 10th in Syracuse history. He is 26 points shy of becoming the 18th player in program history to surpass the 200-point plateau. The Latham, N.Y. product has established himself as a shooting threat this season as well. His 21 goals to date are the most he's had in a single season and he's one-of-four players nationally to have over 20 goals and shoot 50-percent or better on the year.
A team captain and 2020 recipient of the Doris Soladay Award, Rehfuss will attend Albany Law in the fall and is a Senior CLASS Award finalist as well.
