Orange Earn No. 8 Seed to ACC Softball Tournament

ACC Tournament Bracket

Syracuse earned the No. 8 seed in the 2021 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Softball Tournament and will face No. 9 seed Georgia Tech on Wednesday, May 12 at 1 p.m. The Orange and Yellow Jackets will meet for the first time this season after their four-game ACC series was postponed, and never made up, due to weather in April.

'Cuse finished the regular season 20-23 overall and 12-20 in the ACC. The Orange went 3-1 in the last series of the regular season against No. 11 Clemson and snapped the Tigers' 19-game win streak with a walk-off win in the second game of Saturday's double header. Georgia Tech (19-25 overall, 11-19 ACC) closed the season with a four-game sweep of Virginia.

The winner of Wednesday's game advances to face No. 1 seed Clemson on Thursday, May 13 at 11 a.m. The ACC Tournament will be televised live on ACC Network with the championship game airing nationally on ESPN2 on Saturday, May 15 at Noon.
