Gait Introduced as Head Coach
6/10/2021 3:12:00 PM | Men's Lacrosse
Gary Gait is known as one of the game's greatest innovators and his playing career always was filled with remarkable plays, flair and excitement.
In his introductory press conference as the Roy D. Simmons Jr. Head Men's Lacrosse Coach, Gait emphasized his desire to bring that back as part of the program's identity.
One thing was made clear: Gait's Orange will play an exciting brand of lacrosse and compete for championships. He hopes the fans notice too, remarking that he wants to get back to the days of 20,000 fans in the Dome for lacrosse games.
John Wildhack also spoke about championship aspirations for both the Syracuse men's and women's lacrosse programs, noting he wants Memorial Day Weekend booked with trips back-and-forth to the men's and women's Championship Weekend venues.
