Syracuse Athletics has set theme days for the seven home dates of the 2021 campaign – offering exciting events for fans of all ages.
The promotional schedule is headlined by Homecoming/Orange Central on Oct. 30 when Syracuse hosts longtime rival Boston College, and Family Weekend earlier that month when 'Cuse faces Wake Forest on Oct. 9.
For tickets to any individual game, visit Cuse.com/Tickets or call 888-DOME-TIX. Theme days also provide for great opportunities for local groups to get discounted, group-rate tickets. Contact a member of the Syracuse Athletics' ticket sales staff at 888-DOME-TIX for information on how to participate and bring your group or organization to a game.
Rutgers – Saturday, Sept. 11
The 2021 home opener will feature the first opportunity for 'Cuse fans to experience the Dome renovations in person. Even moreso this year, when fans can watch the Orange football team in the Loud House for the first time in nearly two years.
In addition to the home opener, it'll also be Coming Back Together, which celebrates African American and Latinx alumni. Hosted every three years by the Office of Multicultural Advancement, the reunion weekend offers students an opportunity to network with successful alumni of color by participating in a variety of events and cultural activities. Alumni support the University by giving to the Our Time Has Come (OTHC) Scholarship Fund.
The game also falls on the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. With this anniversary, and the dedication of many medical professionals through the COVID-19 Pandemic, Syracuse will honor first responders, medical and frontline workers as well.
UAlbany – Saturday, Sept. 18
The Class of 2020 will hold its official commencement ceremony, which was made virtual due to COVID, this weekend. Seniors in the Class of 2020 and family members up for the occasion are invited to attend the game with discounted tickets available (888-DOME-TIX)
It'll also be Band Day in the Dome.
Liberty – Friday, Sept. 24
Syracuse University faculty and staff members will be treated to the annual faculty and staff appreciation night in the Dome for the non-conference finale. The Flames visit the Dome coming off a strong 2020 campaign that saw them finish in the top-15 of the AP Poll a year ago.
Wake Forest – Saturday, Oct. 9
In addition to the aforementioned Family Weekend Festivities, this game will be Military Appreciation Day, presented by SEFCU. Syracuse fans have the opportunity to thank a veteran or active military member for their service by sponsoring military tickets to the game. Visit Cuse.com/military for more.
All Syracuse Athletics alumnae are also encouraged to come back to 'Cuse that weekend, as it'll be a celebration of all the Orange's women's teams as part of the year-long 50th anniversary of women in sports/title ix celebration.
Clemson – Friday, Oct. 15
It'll be an Orange Out when Clemson visits the Dome. 'Cuse fans are encouraged to make the stadium a sea of Orange for a Friday night showdown against the Tigers.
The life and legacy of Floyd Little will also be celebrated at halftime. A hero to many, the Pro and College Football Hall of Famer and Syracuse University graduate passed away after his fight with cancer on January 1, 2021. He was 78 years old.
Boston College – Saturday, Oct. 30
Orange Central will have plenty of events for 'Cuse alums throughout the weekend, in addition to Saturday's game. Visit http://orangecentral.syr.edu/ for more information.
It'll also be Kids Club Day. Syracuse's youngest fans are encouraged to join Otto's Kids' Club, presented by Chic-fil-A for numerous benefits throughout the year.
Pittsburgh – Saturday, Nov. 27
Syracuse's seniors who're playing their final home game as members of the Orange football program will be honored.
