
Women's Basketball Faces Boston College Thursday Night

Syracuse (8-5, 1-2 AAC) travels to Boston College (9-4, 0-2 ACC) for an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) game at 7 p.m. on ACCNX. The Orange enter Thursday's game 1-2 in the ACC with a 40-point win over Clemson on Dec. 11 and a pair of losses to Notre Dame and No. 24 North Carolina.Â
'Cuse is the only team in the ACC with all five starters averaging double figures in scoring. Led by Chrislyn Carr (15.1 ppg), Syracuse is averaging 77.3 ppg and is outscoring opponents by 10.1 ppg. The Orange have a .440 shooting percentage through their first 13 games and posted a 6-1 record in the month of December which included a six-game win streak.Â
The Eagles are 0-2 in league play with a home loss to No. 20 UNC and a road loss at Louisville. The Eagles are coming off an 88-52 non-conference win over New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon. Boston College is led by Taylor Soule, who averages 16.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Back-to-back ACC Freshman of the Week Maria Gakdeng leads the team with 5.5 rebounds per game.Â
Syracuse won all three meetings between the two last season, sweeping the regular season meetings and earning a 67-61 win over the Eagles in the first round of the 2021 ACC Tournament.Â
