ACC Championships Await Orange

Championship season has arrived for the nationally ranked Syracuse cross country squads. The Orange will race in the ACC Championships on Friday at Virginia.

Men's Preview:
The Syracuse men have won six of the nine ACC Championships that have been contested since joining the conference in 2013. If they're going to add a seventh trophy to the tally, it'll have to come against what shapes up to be the deepest field in recent memory.
The ACC boasts seven ranked teams, nearly double any other conference on the men's side of competition. The league has six of the nation's top-18 teams in this week's USTFCCCA Poll. Ranked teams in this weekend's competition include: No. 6 Notre Dame, No. 8 Wake Forest, No. 12 NC State, No. 13 Virginia, No. 16 Syracuse, No. 18 North Carolina and No. 29 Duke.
Women's Preview:
Just like the men's race, the women's field is absolutely loaded. Defending NCAA Champions, and current No. 1 team, NC State is the odds-on favorite as the unanimously ranked top team in the country.
However, the field is strong with challengers behind the Wolfpack. Notre Dame (No. 6) and North Carolina (No. 8) make three teams from the ACC in the top-10 of the national polls – the most of any conference – with Syracuse (No. 15) just outside. No. 25 Virginia is also ranked and will compete on its home course this weekend.
