Syracuse hits the road to Wake Forest on Saturday, here are five things to know about the matchup:
1. Road Finish
Syracuse will play its final two games outside of the JMA Dome. This is the first time 'Cuse has finished with two true road games since 2014. The Orange also finished their home schedule week 10 in 2018, but one of the two remaining games was a neutral site game at Yankee Stadium vs. Notre Dame.
In both cases, the Orange finished the year at Boston College as they do this season.
2. Back in Winston-Salem
Saturday's game will be the Orange's first trip to Wake Forest since 2018. Wake has made three-straight trips to the JMA Dome, following regularly scheduled trips in 2019 and 2021, but the Demon Deacons also came to 'Cuse in 2020 following the reformatted 10-game conference schedule due to COVID.
Syracuse has had prior success at Truist Field. The Orange have won two of the three meetings between the programs in Winston-Salem since joining the ACC, including the most recent meeting (2018).
3. Close Calls
Syracuse and Wake Forest have played a number of close calls. Two of the last-three meetings have been decided in overtime. In total, 'Cuse has played three of its 20 total overtime games in program history vs. the Demon Deacons. That mark ties Pittsburgh for Syracuse's most frequent overtime opponent.
Wake escaped last year's meeting, 40-37, in the Dome in the extra session.
4. Mr. 3000
Running back Sean Tucker is just 49 yards from becoming the fourth player in program history to rush for 3,000-yards in a season. Tucker enters Saturday's game 153 behind Delone Carter for third most in program history.
In under three seasons of action, Tucker is on track to have the highest three-year total in school history. Still with two regular season contests left, he trails just Joe Morris (3,105) and  Walter Reyes (3,058) for most yards in their first three seasons at SU.
5. Passing Game Tested
Something will likely have to give through the air on Saturday. Wake Forest is the ACC's second-best passing attack, throwing for 309.7 yards per game, while the Orange defense ranks second in the league allowing just 168 yards per game through the air.
