
Cooper Earns ACC Weekly Honor

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Syracuse senior Sarah Cooper is this week's ACC Women's Lacrosse Co-Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Orange defeat No. 14 Virginia last Saturday. It marks the fifth consecutive week that a member of the Orange has earned a player of the week award.
Cooper anchored the 'Cuse defense that held the Cavaliers without a goal for a span of 8:31 in the second quarter. Syracuse scored five unanswered goals during the stretch to pull away from the Cavaliers. The Orange posted a 17-11 victory to remain unbeaten in ACC play.
No. 3 Syracuse (6-1, 3-0) is back in action on Wednesday, March 16 when it takes on No. 13 Florida in Gainesville at 6:30 p.m.
