
Orange Release Schedule for Year 1 of Thorpe Era

The Regy Thorpe era of Syracuse women's lacrosse will begin with one of the nation's most challenging schedules. The Orange will face 10 teams that reached the NCAA Tournament in 2025, including five squads that reached the quarterfinals and three Final Four teams from a year ago.
The home slate features eight contests in the Loud House, including perennial powers Maryland and North Carolina as the first two games to open the season. Syracuse has made 13-straight NCAA Tournament appearances and begins the 2026 campaign ranked inside the top-10 of Inside Lacrosse's Look Ahead rankings.Â
It will all begin on Friday, Feb. 6, when the Terrapins visit the Dome. One week later ACC play starts with the defending national champion Tar Heels on Friday, Feb. 13.
The first road game of the season will be at Stanford on Friday, Sept. 20. The first conference meeting between the two teams ended in a double-overtime thriller last season.
'Cuse will host Loyola on Tuesday, Feb. 24, to conclude a four-game stretch vs. 2025 NCAA Tournament teams to open the season.
The Orange travel to Louisville on Saturday, Feb. 28, before returning home to host Cal on Tuesday, March 3 to open the second month of the season. Virginia Tech will visit the Dome on Friday, March 6, completing a stretch of three games in seven days.
Syracuse will travel to last year's national runner-up Northwestern on Thursday, Merch 12. Five days later, they will host Yale on Tuesday, March 17, in a rematch of last year's NCAA second-round matchup.
Four of the team's next-five games will come outside the Dome, traveling to Virginia (Saturday, March 21) and UAlbany (Tuesday, March 24), before hosting Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 28. The stretch concludes with back-to-back road trips to Cornell (Tuesday, March 31) and Duke (Saturday, April 4).
The home finale will be Saturday, April 11, when Notre Dame comes to town for Senior Day, before the regular season wraps up at Boston College on Thursday, April 16.
