Orange Host Fighting Irish

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse (19-12 overall, 3-8 ACC) is set to host arv Notre Dame (28-7 overall, 7-3 ACC) in hits second home ACC series of the season.

The Orange open the series on Friday, April 8^th at 3:00 pm and the second game is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 9^th at 1:00 pm. Syracuse will finish the weekend with a final game on Sunday, April 10^th at 12 pm.

ORANGE UPDATE

Syracuse swept a double header against Pitt last weekend with the final game in the series being canceled due to inclement weather. The Orange have won their last six consecutive games against the Panthers.
The Orange shut out the Panthers in the second and final game of the series, claiming a 1-0 victory.
Four Syracuse players recorded a multi-hit day, including Neli Casares-Maher, Kelly Breen, Laila Alves, and Paris Woods.
Pitcher Lindsey Hendrix had a career-high 12 strikeouts in the second game of the series. She held the Panthers hitless for six innings.
Sophomore Angel Jasso tallied her 13^th stolen base of the season.
Fifth-year Neli Casares-Maher currently leads the Orange offense with the highest batting average of .378.

THE OPPONENT
Syracuse and Notre Dame meet for the 39^th time in program history, the Irish lead the series 28-10. In 2021, the two teams only played one game of the scheduled three-game series. The Orange beat the Fighting Irish 32- on Feb. 19 2021. Syracuse claimed an 8-6 victory over Notre Dame 2019 season, making for a two-game winning streak for the Orange.

Notre Dame ranks fourth in the ACC with their 28-7 overall record and 7-3 ACC record. The received votes in this week's polls. Notre Dame ranks second in the league with their team batting average of .331.

Saturday Apr. 9: vs. Notre Dame at 1:00 pm
Sunday Apr. 10: vs. Notre Dame at 12:00 pm

UP NEXT
Syracuse will host Canisius for a mid-week game at Skytop Softball Stadium on April 13^th at 1 pm. The Orange will then travel to Louisville later in the week for a three-game series. The first game is scheduled for Friday, Apr. 15 at 6 p.m. with the second game taking place Saturday, Apr. 16 at 1 p.m. Syracuse will end the weekend with the final game on Sunday, Apr. 17 at 12 p.m.
