Three Syracuse stars earned All-America honors from the USILA on Thursday, with Brendan Curry, Brett Kennedy and Tucker Dordevic each being honored by the organization.
Curry was named to the second team, Dordevic was selected to the third team, and Kennedy garnered honorable mention honors. Curry is a four-time All-American – the 15th in program history - while Dordevic and Curry both being on the USILA team gives them a clean sweep of the three major All-America teams.
Curry, a three-time captain at SU, concluded his career as one of the most prolific scoring midfielders ever. His 94 goals out of the midfield were the seventh most by an SU middie ever. This season, he finished with career bests of 34 goals, 19 assists and 53 points. He is a three-time All-American and was a member of the Tewaaraton Watch List this season. He was drafted in the second round of the PLL Draft earlier this month, being selected by the Atlas Lacrosse Club.
Dordevic had the 13th-highest single-season goal scoring output ever at 'Cuse in his first season on attack. He finished the year with a team-high 47 goals and 12 assists for 59 points.
Kennedy is one of the Orange's most versatile athletes, having played both LSM and close defense in his career. He finished his SU career with 59 career caused turnovers, which ranks fifth on the program's career list. A three-time All-ACC selection and three-time All-American, Kennedy was also a team captain this season. He was the No. 6 overall pick by the Chaos in the PLL Draft this month.
