Spiers Races in Women's 10k on Night 2 of NCAA Prelims

Abigail Spiers finished 40th in the 10,000-meter run at the NCAA East Preliminary round on Thursday, bettering her seeding by one spot.
Spires' season concluded with a mark of 38:20.57, in a race that was taken out slow. Alabama's Mercy Chelangat won the race in 34:17.49.
The Orange's action will continue on Friday, with Kevin Robertson racing for the first time in the men's steeplechase quarterfinal, plus Jaheem Hayles (110H) and Nathan Henderson (1500) competing in their respective quarterfinals after qualifying on Wednesday. Annie Boos will wrap up the Orange's competition at the event on Saturday night in the 3000-meter steeplechase.
