The Premier Lacrosse League season gets underway this weekend, and Orange fans will have plenty to root for.
Nine former Orange players will begin the season on active 25-man rosters, plus Orange assistant TD Ierlan
The Cannons will reunite the Orange's 2018 starting attack unit of Stephen Rehfuss, Brendan Bomberry and Nate Solomon, one-of-three PLL squads that have three former 'Cuse players on its roster.
The Atlas – which also feature Steven Brooks as its assistant coach – have two Orange rookies on the squad in Brendan Curry in Jakob Phaup. They join second-year SSDM Peter Dearth on the Bulls' roster.
The Chaos feature Bradley Voigt, Brett Kennedy and Tommy Palasek, while Orange assistant TD Ierlan once again suits up for the Redwoods.
The television crews will also have plenty of Orange as well. ESPN has tabbed 'Cuse alums Paul Carcaterra, Anish Shroff, Drew Carter, Jay Alter and Jake Marsh to its broadcast teams.
Action begins on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. on ESPN+, when the Orange trio on the Chaos get their season started vs. the Whipsnakes. Then the Atlas crew will take on Ierlan's Redwoods at 5 p.m. on ESPN. The Orange's schedule concludes Sunday, with the Cannons facing the Waterdogs at 1 p.m.
