
Men’s Lacrosse Top Five in Week Eleven

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, Syracuse University men's lacrosse remained in the top five of both major polls for week eleven.
Syracuse (11-3, 2-1 ACC) doubled up longtime local foe Colgate 14-7 over the weekend and heads to South Bend, Indiana for another top-five clash at Notre Dame this weekend.
The Orange picked up 502 points in this week's USILA Division I Coaches Poll, just eight points back from fourth-place Richmond. Notre Dame was the top team again this week, earning 618 points and 29 of the 31 first-place votes. Princeton had the remaining pair of top selections and 585 points. North Carolina was third with 556 points.
Syracuse was also fifth again this week in the Inside Lacrosse Division I Media Poll with 361 points. Notre Dame stayed at the top with 435 points and 17 first-place votes. Princeton picked up 414 points with the five outstanding first-place nods. North Carolina was third with 395 points with Richmond in fourth with 374 points.
Twelve teams on the 2026 slate were mentioned in this week's USILA Coaches Poll: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Princeton, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 8 Georgetown, No. 10 Harvard, No. 12 Virginia, No. 13 Maryland, No. 17 Duke, No. 20 Penn, as Boston University and Saint Joseph's received votes.
On the Inside Lacrosse poll, 11 of this year's opponents were among those named: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Princeton, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 8 Virginia, No. 10 Harvard, No. 11 Maryland, No. 12 Georgetown, No. 16 Duke, with Boston University and Penn in the receiving votes column.
No. 5 Syracuse wraps up the regular season on Saturday with a noon showdown at No. 1 Notre Dame, marking a second time this year the Orange face the number one team in the country. Syracuse took down No. 1 Maryland 11-9 back on Feb. 13 at the JMA Wireless Dome.
This week's game at Arlotta Stadium is set for a noon ET start on ACC Network Extra as Syracuse hunts its first win in South Bend since 2017. Admission to Saturday's game is free.
