Rauch Wins Elite 90 Award At 2022 College Cup

CARY, N.C. – Sophomore forward Julius Rauch is the recipient of the Elite 90 trophy, awarded to the student-athlete at the 2022 NCAA College Cup with the highest grade point average. A native of Dusseldorf, Germany, Rauch is majoring in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. Rauch also received College Sport Communicators Academic All-District honors this season. The sophomore forward is also a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference Student-Athlete Sport Advisory Group.
Rauch is a key piece for head coach Ian McIntyre, coming off the bench as an attacking threat for the 2022 season. The former Borussia Dortmund youth academy product has made 33 appearances for the Orange over two seasons, scoring four goals across 702 career minutes. Rauch came off the bench against Indiana in the 2022 NCAA Division I National Championship match, scoring the fifth penalty in the 7-6 shootout triumph.
Syracuse men's soccer are National Champions for the first time in program history. The 2022 squad are also the fourth team in ACC history to win the national title, ACC tournament championship and regular season division title in a single season.
