Syracuse (12-7, 5-3) closes out the week on the road at Georgia Tech (8-10, 1-7) on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 12:00 p.m.

SETTING THE STAGE
SU has captured nine of its last 12 contests and two of its losses have come against a ranked league opponent. The Yellow Jackets have only collected one victory across the last five contests, a 76-70 win against a ranked Miami squad on Jan. 4.

SYRACUSE-GEORGIA TECH SERIES
SU owns a slight 8-7 edge in the series history against the Yellow Jackets, which spans back to the 1984-85 season. The Orange have taken three of the last four pairings. The previous meeting versus GT resulted in a 74-73 overtime Syracuse triumph inside the Dome on Feb. 21, 2022.

LAST TIME OUT
SU lost, 82-78, to #17/16 Miami on Monday night. Senior center Jesse Edwards secured his ninth double-double of the season. The big man led both teams with a career-high 25 points and 11 boards. Joseph Girard III tallied 21 points.

ORANGE LEADERS
Girard continues to contribute offensively with a team-high 16.9 scoring average. Freshman guard Judah Mintz sits atop ACC freshmen in scoring average (14.9 ppg.), steals per game (2.0) and assists per contest (4.4). Edwards averages a double-double with 13.9 ppg. and 11.0 rebounds per contest.

SCOUTING THE YELLOW JACKETS
Sophomore guard Miles Kelly (13.6 ppg.) is Georgia Tech's leading point-getter. The Ramblin' Wreck have four performers grabbing between 5.1 and 5.7 boards per contest: junior guard Deivon Smith (5.7), senior forward Ja'von Franklin (5.7), sophomore forward Jalon Moore (5.6) and senior center Rodney Howard (5.1). Smith dishes out a squad-best 3.4 assists per contest.

'CUSE FANS CAN VOTE FOR GIRARD
Senior Joseph Girard III is one of 20 players named to the 2023 Jerry West Award watch list, annually presented to the top shooting guard in Division I college basketball. Orange fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting for the three rounds. The list will be narrowed down to 10 in January, five in February, and the five finalists will be presented to Jerry West and the Hall of Fame's selection committee where a winner will be selected in March. MCNAMARA AND WARRICK JERSEY RETIREMENT
Twenty years after playing a major role in Syracuse's first NCAA Basketball Championship, Gerry McNamara '06 and Hakim Warrick '05 will have their Orange jerseys hoisted to the Dome rafters. The jersey retirements will take place on Sunday, March 4 when Syracuse hosts Wake Forest at 5:00 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.

20TH ANNIVERSARY OF '03 CHAMPIONSHIP
Syracuse University Athletics will celebrate the 20^th Anniversary of the men's basketball program's 2003 NCAA Championship throughout the 2022-23 season, culminating with a reunion at the March 4 contest with Wake Forest. Members of the 2002-03 national title team have been invited to return to Syracuse for planned activities the weekend of March 3-5, 2023. The Orange are scheduled to host Wake Forest on Saturday, March 4, in the final regular-season contest of the campaign. Those from the 2002-03 squad who can return, will be recognized at the game.
