The final ACC road trip of the regular season awaits No. 13 Syracuse as the Orange prepare for their third-straight top-20 opponent and seventh in the last eight games. First push is set for 6 p.m. at No. 8 Louisville's Trager Stadium, live on ACC Network Extra.

- A one-game week awaits the Orange, who remain 13th in the NFHCA Coaches Poll.
- Syracuse heads for the western-most climes of ACC field hockey to take on No. 8 Louisville on Friday night at Trager Stadium. First push is set for 6 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
- The Orange dropped a pair of games last weekend, falling 4-1 to No. 3 North Carolina at home before a heartbreaking 2-1 difference at No. 18 Cornell on Sunday.
- Abby Neitch made her first career start on Sunday, turning aside four Big Red shots.
- Syracuse has two one-game weeks left in the regular season: Friday at No. 8 Louisville and Friday, Oct. 27 for the home finale against Wake Forest.
- The Orange will look to rebound from its first set of back-to-back losses since late in the 2021 campaign.

- Six of the seven ACC teams were ranked this week: No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Duke, No. 7 Virginia, No. 8 Louisville, No. 12 Boston College, and No. 13 Syracuse.
- In addition to the ACC opponents, three 2023 foes were in the top 20 this week: No. 11 Harvard, No. 16 Penn State, and No. 17 Cornell.
First Start for Neitch
- For redshirt freshman netminder Abby Neitch, the Cornell game was her first career start, stepping in for Brooke Borzymowski.
- Neitch made four saves, including a pair in the second overtime period against the Big Red, batting down a corner attempt early in the second extra frame.
- She allowed just two goals in her first start, playing all 71 minutes of the game.
- Her four saves are the most by a Syracuse goal in her first career start since Emily Streib stopped three against Saint Joseph's - coached by current Syracuse head coach Lynn Farquhar - on March 7, 2021.
- Neitch has played in five games this season, making her collegiate debut against Sacred Heart on Aug. 26 for the final 15 minutes. She sports a goals against average of 0.82 through the Cornell game, surrendering just those two goals in her 146 minutes of action.
