SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 18 Syracuse returns home to take on Central New York rival Colgate on Tuesday. Kickoff from SU Soccer Stadium is scheduled for 7 p.m. (ACC Network Extra).
'Cuse Update
The Orange were defeated by No. 21 Duke on Friday, 5-3, in Durham, N.C.

Sophomore Nicholas Kaloukian opened the scoring in the fourth minute while seniors Gabriel Mikina and Nate Edwards both scored second half goals.

Edwards tally in the 75th minute was his first in a Syracuse uniform.

Senior Jeorgio Kocevski recorded an assist on all three 'Cuse goals in the setback, a career-high for the midfielder. Kocevski has also been part of the last five Orange goals, dating back to the Pittsburgh match, including the game-winning goal against the Panthers (one goal, four assists).

Kaloukian's goal has given him a point in four straight matches, the longest streak by a Syracuse player this season.

'Cuse still leads the country in corner kicks-per-game, averaging 7.89 after earning eight corners against the Blue Devils.

Erik Ronning is currently in his 19th season at the helm of the Colgate men's soccer program. The Raiders are 3-6-1 this season and are 1-2-1 in Patriot League play. In Colgate's last match on Saturday, the team played to a 0-0 draw at Boston University in conference action.

Aidan Davock leads the Raiders in scoring, finding the back of the net four times in nine matches. In goal, Andrew Cooke has made 28 saves for a .700 save percentage in 720:00 minutes of action.

Tuesday's match will be the 72nd all-time meeting between Syracuse and Colgate in a series that dates to 1920. The Orange hold a 32-29-10 advantage and are 8-0-1 in the last nine matches. Last season, 'Cuse defeated the Raiders, 2-0, in Hamilton, N.Y., to improve to 7-0-1, the team's best start to a season since 2016. Nathan Opoku and Jeorgio Kocevski scored for Syracuse while Russell Shealy made a pair of stops in the clean sheet.
