Orange Fly To ACC Tipoff

Syracuse men's basketball coach Adrian Autry, junior Benny Williams and sophomores Judah Mintz and JJ Starling are on their way to ACC Tipoff, the annual media event that helps kickoff the new college basketball season. This year's Tipoff is being held in Charlotte, N.C.
Wednesday's ACC Tipoff will feature a busy schedule of media interviews, photo sessions and some live television appearances on the ACC Network. The Orange will be live on ACCN at 10:45 a.m. (players) and 12:30 p.m. (Coach Autry).
Autry will be the first head coach other than Hall of Fame member Jim Boeheim to represent Syracuse at a league media day, dating all the way back to the start of the BIG EAST Conference. Autry, a former Orange standout, assistant coach, and then associate head coach, has been busy preparing his first team for the 2023-24 campaign.
Syracuse's exhibition season includes contests with Division II foes Daemen (Oct. 27) and College of St. Rose (Nov. 1). The season opener is Tuesday, Nov. 6, against New Hampshire.
Benny Williams, a junior forward, is one of three returning starters for Syracuse. Sophomore Judah Mintz is coming off a rookie campaign in which he earned a spot on the ACC All-Freshman Team and Honorable Mention All-ACC recognition as a guard. Starling was also a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team a year ago, while enrolled at Notre Dame. He transferred to Syracuse in the offseason.
All 15 ACC schools will be represented by their respective head coaches and select players.
