
Mikina Earns CSC All-America Honors

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Senior Gabriel Mikina has earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Third Team honors. Mikina is the fifth player in program history to earn CSC, previously CoSIDA, Academic All-America honors. Mikina joins Gabriel Gervais (1999-00), Eric Chapman (2001-02), Hendrik Hilpert (2016-18) and Max Kent (2021).

Mikina is completing his undergraduate degree in Economics and has a 3.81 grade point average. The Toronto, Ontario, native, along with teammate Nate Edwards were named CSC Academic All-District.

Mikina transferred to Syracuse after three seasons at Niagara and made an immediate impact to the team's backline. The senior registered five goals and one assist in 21 starts, one of four players to start in all 21 matches. Three of Mikina's five goals were game winners while his 1,738 total minutes played were the second most on the team.
