Latham is ACC Freshman of the Week

The Syracuse women's basketball team collected its first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) weekly award on Monday afternoon when Alyssa Latham was tabbed as the league's Freshman of the Week. Latham led the Orange with 23 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in Syracuse's ACC/SEC Challenge win.Â
Latham's double double against the Crimson Tide was her third of the season. She is currently averaging 11.0 points and 8.4 rebounds per game this season.
Latham becomes the first Syracuse freshman to earn ACC weekly accolades since Kamilla Cardoso in 2021.Â
Syracuse returns to action Monday night against Northeastern. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the JMA Wireless Dome on ACC Network Extra.Â
