‘Cuse Remains in Top 20

No. 18 Orange Clash with No. 16 UNC Saturday
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Despite its first setback of the 2023 season, the Syracuse University men's lacrosse program remains in the top 20 in both major polls this week. The Orange begin ACC play this Saturday at home.
Syracuse (3-1) picked up 93 points in the USILA Coaches Poll, ranking 18th this week, while earning 76 points in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll, slotting in 19th.
It's a top-20 matchup in the JMA Wireless Dome this weekend as the Orange meet No. 16/No. 12 North Carolina for the first of two meetings this season. Game time is set for 3 p.m. on ACC Network, the first TV game of the season for the 'Cuse.

Seven 2023 opponents were among the top 20 teams in both polls this week: No. 1/No. 1 Virginia, No. 2/No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 4/No. 3 Princeton, No. 6/No. 9 Maryland, No. 10/No. 14 Duke, No. 16/No. 12 North Carolina, No. 17/No. 16 Johns Hopkins. Vermont, which Syracuse beat 7-5 in the season opener, was the top team in each receiving votes column.
