SETTING THE STAGE
After losing three of their last four contests, the Orange are looking for their first February victory. Boston College enters fresh off a 62-54 victory against #20/23 Clemson, and the Eagles have won three of their last four.Â
SYRACUSE-BOSTON COLLEGE SERIES
Syracuse is 56-26 in the all-time series against the Eagles that spans back to 1959. The Orange are looking to string together their 10th straight win versus Boston College, which would match their longest win streak of the series (1985-1989). In the most recent pairing, on Dec. 31, 2022, Syracuse topped Boston College in the Dome, 79-65.Â
LAST TIME OUT
The #7/6 Virginia Cavaliers were able to escape the Dome with a narrow 67-62 win against the Orange on Monday night. Freshman guard Judah Mintz (20 points) led the Orange in scoring for the second straight game and senior center Jesse Edwards finished with 14 points and seven boards.
ORANGE LEADERS
Senior guard Joseph Girard III continues to pave the way for the Orange on offense, averaging a team-high 16.6 points per game. Mintz (15.4 ppg.) dishes out 4.4 assists per contest and tallies a 2.0 steals average. Edwards (13.4 ppg.) is third in ACC rebound average with 10.2 boards per game.
SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Senior forward Quinten Post, who missed the first 13 games of the season, leads BC in scoring (15.6 ppg.) and rebounds (6.1 rpg.). Graduate guard Makai Ashton-Langford swipes an average of 1.6 steals per contest.Â
'CUSE FANS CAN VOTE FOR GIRARD

Orange fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting for the three rounds. The list will be narrowed down to 10 in January, five in February, and the five finalists will be presented to Jerry West and the Hall of Fame's selection committee where a winner will be selected in March. MCNAMARA AND WARRICK JERSEY RETIREMENT
Twenty years after playing a major role in Syracuse's first NCAA Basketball Championship, Gerry McNamara '06 and Hakim Warrick '05 will have their Orange jerseys hoisted to the Dome rafters. The jersey retirements will take place on Sunday, March 4 when Syracuse hosts Wake Forest at 5:00 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.
20TH ANNIVERSARY OF '03 CHAMPIONSHIP
Syracuse University Athletics will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the men's basketball program's 2003 NCAA Championship throughout the 2022-23 season, culminating with a reunion at the March 4 contest with Wake Forest. Members of the 2002-03 national title team have been invited to return to Syracuse for planned activities the weekend of March 3-5, 2023. The Orange are scheduled to host Wake Forest on Saturday, March 4, in the final regular-season contest of the campaign. Those from the 2002-03 squad who can return, will be recognized at the game.
