
Mintz Enters NBA Draft Process

Freshman guard Judah Mintz, a member of the All-ACC Rookie Team, has announced his intention to enter into the 2023 NBA Draft process. Mintz will retain his college eligibility at this time.
Mintz started all 31 games for the Orange. He led the team in assist (4.6) and steal (1.8) average, and finished second on the squad in scoring average (16.3). In addition to his ACC All-Rookie Team nod, Mintz was an All-ACC Honorable Mention selection.

He led the ACC in steals and steals average and ranked sixth in the conference in assists and assist average. Mintz ranked eighth in scoring average among ACC performers. He was named ACC Rookie of the Week five times in 2022-23, including one shared honor.
Mintz's 16.3 scoring average was the top rookie mark by a Syracuse freshmen in the last 40 years. The next closest average was the 15.7 posted by Jonny Flynn in 2007-08.
Heading into Tuesday night's NIT games, Mintz leads all Division I freshmen in assists average (4.625) and ranks third among first-year players in scoring average (16.3).
The G-League Elite Camp, which will feature top underclassmen involved in the NBA Draft process, is scheduled for May 13-14 in Chicago. The NBA Draft Combine is May 15-21, also in Chicago. The NBA Draft is scheduled for June 22 at Barclays Center.
Underclassmen like Mintz have until April 24 to declare for the NBA Draft. Student-athletes who decide to return to college must withdraw from draft consideration by June 1.
