'Cuse Races in Red Dragon Open on Saturday

The Syracuse track and field teams are staying in Central New York this weekend at the Red Dragon Open, hosted by Cortland.

Orange Entries
The Orange will get things started at 12:10 p.m. with the 1500-meter run. For the women, Madeline Heintz, Olivia Joly, Caroline Kirby, Shanley Koekemoer, Sydney Nowicki, Emily Nugent, Siobhan O'Keefe, Bethany Steiner, Reilly Zink and Lucy Zombek comprise a deep field of 'Cuse competitors. Twenty minutes later, Silas Derfel, Matthew Dragon, Alex Herbst, Patrick Malone, Kamari Miller and Jack Whetstone are set to race.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Olivia Etienvre, CJ Fox, Sheridan McGadden and Kirstyn Schechter are entered, with Isaiah Lewis, Samuel Mutiso, David Peters and Naseem Smith to follow in the 110-meter hurdles.
Schechter will also run in the 400-meter hurdles at 2:55 p.m.
Sarah Eddy, Ariel Haywood, Kristine Krumpfer and Catriona McKeown will take on the 400-meter dash at 1:15 p.m., before James Nmah, Alexander Segarra and Ryder Kriley race for the men.
Kaleia Arrington and Morgan Marshall will race in the 100-meter dash at 2:10 p.m., followed by Carlton Landingham and Daijon Richards for the men.
Arrington, Landingham and Richards will also race in the 200-meters later in the day.
the event will close with Bethany Steiner racing in the 3000-meter steeplechase at 3:30 p.m.
