WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Six months after winning its first national championship,Syracuse men's soccer headed to Washington, D.C. on Monday, June 12 to take part in "College Athletes Day" at the White House. The event honored 47 teams from 19 sports and all three NCAA divisions.
Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the gathering on the South Lawn of the White House, as did NCAA President Charlie Baker. Two-time team captain Noah Singelmann shared the stage with both during the ceremony.
Following their time at the White House, the Orange headed to the U.S. Capitol where they met with Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer as well as Congressman Brandon Williams.
The day was one of many celebrating Syracuse since its dramatic win over Indiana in the national championship game in Cary, N.C. The Orange accomplished the rare feat of winning the ACC regular-season divisional title, the ACC Tournament and the national championship.
