Tickets for the 100th anniversary of the first football game played at Yankee Stadium between Syracuse and Pitt are now on sale!

The Orange are headed to the Bronx on Nov. 11 for the historic matchup between the old rivals. The 1923 meeting between the two teams laid the groundwork for a long history of football at Yankee Stadium, which has now hosted over 200 college football games, 10 of which Syracuse has previously participated in, and established a bowl game.
The first meeting between Syracuse and Pitt at Yankee Stadium, a 3-0 Orange victory, came on Oct. 20, 1923 in front of 25,000 fans at the old stadium. Syracuse has since played nine other times at Yankee Stadium, including three Pinstripe Bowl appearances, and own a 7-3 mark all-time. This season's meeting will be the 79th in the series between Syracuse and Pittsburgh. The Panthers are 'Cuse's most frequent opponent in history and own the all-time series advantage by a mark of 43-32-2.
The game at Yankee Stadium will be the first regular season neutral-site contest for the Orange since 2018 when Notre Dame moved its home game against 'Cuse to Yankee Stadium as part of the Shamrock Series. Syracuse's full 2023 schedule features six games in the JMA Wireless Dome. Fans can now also purchase season tickets and partial plans to the games inside the Loud House this year at Cuse.com/Tickets.
The Orange enter the 2023 campaign having improved its win total from the year prior in each of the past two seasons. Returning a preseason All-American tight end in Oronde Gadsden II, and Pro Football Focus' 10-highest graded quarterbacks (Garrett Shrader) and linebackers (Marlowe Wax), 'Cuse has a wealth of talent to work with as it seeks back-to-back bowl appearances.
