BALTIMORE – As the high school season winds down, three incoming student-athletes for the Syracuse University men's lacrosse team were named as participants for the 18th Annual Senior All-America Lacrosse Game.
Attackman Trey Deere (Kahnawake, Quebec) was named in the second wave of selections on May 3, followed by defenseman Donny Scott (Kennesaw, Georgia) in the third wave on May 24 and midfielder Jake Spallina (Mount Sinai, New York) in the fourth and final wave on June 1.
Corrigan Sports Enterprises and Inside Lacrosse will host the event on July 29 at Johns Hopkins' Homewood Field. The boys' game will cap the day with an 8 p.m. start on ESPNU, immediately following the girls' Senior All-America game (5:30 p.m.).
The trio join nine current players that played in the Senior All-America last summer following Gary Gait's first season as the men's head coach: Joey Spallina, the eventual MVP of the 2022 edition, Finn Thomson, Billy Dwan, Luke Rhoa, Carter Kempney, Michael Leo, Riley Figueiras, Dylan Sageder, and Jimmy McCool.
Coming to Central New York, this year's incoming class is ranked 10th by Inside Lacrosse with 33 total stars by the publication, including one five-star recruit and seven with a four-star rating. Stay tune all summer as the incoming class is announced on cuse.com and social media (CuseMLAX).
