Gait Named Head Coach for Canada U20 Team

OTTAWA, Ontario, Canada – One of the game's all-time greats, Syracuse University head men's lacrosse coach Gary Gait has been named as the head coach for the Canadian Under-20 team. Gait and Canada will compete at the 2025 U20 World Championships at a site to be announced at a later date.
Joining Gait on the sidelines for the 2025 World Championships will be assistant coaches John Grant, Jr., Mark Miyashita, Shawn Wilkens, and John Gallant.
A 2006 ILF World Championship gold medalist, Gait and his staff will look to guide Canada to its first U19/U20 title since the age groups were first sponsored in 1988. The Canadian side has reached the title game in eight World Championships.
Canada Lacrosse is currently running its U20 development camp in Oshawa, Ontario.
